RESUME WRITING SERVICES

We will arrange a consultation with you to discuss your career objective, key skills, attributes, career history, achievements and job search activity. If you have an old resume on file, we will ask you to send us a copy. If you are applying for a specific position, we will ask you to send us a link to the job advertisement so we can tailor your resume accordingly. We will work with you to develop a new resume or re-work an existing resume which will include:

  • Career Profile / Objective
  • Education and Qualifications
  • Key skills, abilities and attributes
  • Career History and achievements
  • Any other relevant information.

Once we have written your resume, we will email you a copy of the first draft in Microsoft Word format and ask that you review the document thoroughly and request any changes that need to be made.

Please allow approximately five business days following your consultation to receive your resume.

RESUME REFRESH

We will ask you to email us your resume and a link to the position for which you would like to apply. We will arrange a personal consultation with you or a time to consult over the phone or online and work with you to update your resume.

CUSTOMISED COVER LETTERS

We will ask you to send us a copy of your resume and a link to the position for which you would like to apply. If we have not already done so, ideally we will arrange a consultation to ensure we capture the essence of your skills, experiences, attributes and interest in the position.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

We will ask you to send us a copy of the job description, the key selection criteria that is to be addressed and your resume. We will then email you a document asking you to provide an example for each criteria written in the STAR (Situation, Task, Action and Result) format. The document will have clear instructions and a table for you to complete for each criteria.

On receipt of your completed document we will call you at a convenient time to discuss each response in further detail, if required.

We will work with you to ensure that your resume and key selection criteria responses are consistent.

Please note that it isn’t possible to write high calibre key selection criteria documents without your assistance.

INTERVIEW PREPARATION COACHING SESSIONS

We will ask you to send us a copy of the job advertisement and/or job description for which you have been asked to attend an interview, along with your resume. We will arrange a personal consultation with you for a tailored coaching session that will provide you with all the tools you need to effectively practice and prepare for your upcoming interview. Coaching sessions can be conducted over the phone or online however face-to-face is preferred.

Session outcomes will include:

  • How to prepare for an interview and make a lasting impression
  • How to dissect a job advertisement to determine likely interview questions
  • How to respond to commonly asked interview questions
  • How to respond to likely behavioural questions
  • How to prepare questions to ask the interviewer
  • How to write a follow up thank you email after your interview.
